Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using Recipaw (“the Service,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. The Service is operated by WellWhisker LLC, a Washington limited liability company.

2. What Recipaw is

Recipaw provides homemade dog meal recipes, portion estimates, batch cooking tools, shopping lists and educational lessons for healthy adult dogs. Recipes are formulated against published nutrient guidelines for adult dogs. Everything in the Service is general educational information only.

3. Not veterinary advice

Recipaw is not a veterinary service and does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Recipes and portions are not made for puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs, or dogs with medical conditions. Portions are estimates, and every dog is different, so watch your dog's weight and adjust with your vet. Always check with a licensed veterinarian before changing your dog's diet.

Follow each recipe as written, including any supplement it lists. Changing ingredients or amounts changes the nutrition.

IN AN EMERGENCY, CONTACT A VETERINARIAN OR EMERGENCY ANIMAL HOSPITAL RIGHT AWAY. DO NOT USE THE SERVICE FOR EMERGENCIES.

4. Accounts

Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 to use the Service, and if you are under 18 you need permission from a parent or guardian.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Full access requires a Recipaw subscription, offered as a monthly or six-month plan. The price is shown in the App before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the same length and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings (tap your name, then Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Prices may vary by region and may change; any change applies from your next renewal, and Apple will tell you first when required.

6. Your content

You own what you enter in the Service, such as your dog's details. You give us permission to store and use it only to provide the Service to you.

7. Our content

Recipes, lessons, photos and other content in the Service belong to us. You may use them for your own dog at home. Please don't copy, republish or sell them.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the Service, try to get into other accounts or our systems, scrape it with automated tools, reverse engineer it, upload unlawful content, or present information from it as veterinary advice to others.

9. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS INFORMATION IS SUITABLE FOR YOUR DOG.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WELLWHISKER LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless WellWhisker LLC and its members, employees and agents from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the App or by emailing hello@recipaw.app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, or if we stop offering the Service.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Except for disputes that go to arbitration under Section 14, any legal action will be brought in the state or federal courts of Island County, Washington.

14. Arbitration and class action waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

You and we agree to resolve any dispute about these Terms or the Service by binding individual arbitration with the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court, except that either side may use small claims court for qualifying claims. Disputes are brought only individually, not as part of a class or representative action. You can opt out of this section by emailing hello@recipaw.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your full name and account email. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, this whole section is void.

15. General

If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.

16. Changes

If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the App or by email. Using the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.
