Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and a password, which is stored encrypted. Sign-in is handled by Supabase.

Dog profile: details you enter about your dog, such as name, weight, age, activity level and foods to avoid. We use these to size portions and flag ingredients for your dog.

Usage information: how you use the App, such as screens viewed and recipes opened, so we can fix problems and improve it.

Device information: device type, operating system and app version.

Purchases: subscriptions are paid through Apple. We never see or store your card details. We receive only whether your subscription is active.

2. How we use it

• To run the App and show recipes and portions for your dog
• To manage your account and subscription
• To fix bugs and improve the App
• To contact you about your account or important changes
• To meet legal obligations

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share data only with the services that run the App:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting.
• Apple: in-app purchases. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and receives your user ID and subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Sentry: error reports, so we can find and fix crashes.
• Meta and Google Analytics: measure how people find the App and how our ads perform. In the iPhone app, Meta receives device identifiers only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. You can change this any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. You can manage ad preferences in Facebook's Ad Settings.

4. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, passwords are stored hashed, and our database limits each account to its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and dog profile while your account is open. You can delete your account in the App (Account, then Delete account). We then delete your personal data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it. We may keep combined statistics that can't identify you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and you can withdraw consent or opt out of marketing at any time. Email hello@recipaw.app and we'll reply within 30 days.

California residents: you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell personal information.

EEA, UK and Switzerland: we process data to provide the App (contract), with your consent (analytics and marketing), and for our legitimate interests (improving the App and preventing misuse). Data may be processed in the United States with appropriate safeguards. You can complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Children

Recipaw is not meant for children under 13 (16 in the EEA), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email hello@recipaw.app and we'll delete it.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. On the website, the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics may set cookies to measure visits and ads. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the App or by email. The date at the top shows the latest version.
